Meadow Creek Natives began at our home, on six acres surrounded by hardwoods and a narrow winding creek, in St. Francisville, Louisiana… A dream both of us had before our paths ever crossed, to propagate all the plants we love and all the plants hard for us to find.
We are a passionate nursery that specializes in native perennials, grasses and trees. We place great focus on the quality + sustainability of our soil health + root structure to bring you access to the best quality native plants possible – all while trying our absolute best to continually explore methods to benefit our local ecosystems as we align ourselves with the natural world to better the nursery trade; A trade that, historically, has been quite ecologically damaging.
In addition to our native plants, we offer seasonal organic/heirloom vegetables + annual flowers as well as select tropical perennials that we have found do wonderful in our region + offer great wildlife benefit.
We offer grow contracts to fit your particular need whether you are a landscape design firm, an engineer or forestry group planning out your next restoration project or even a homeowner with a need for a large quantity of a particular species. Our plants, depending on need and species, can be grown out in various sizes including plug trays, soil blocks, small gallon sizes and bare roots. Grow contracts need a minimum of 3 months advance, often more depending on species.
